1. FROM SANT JOSEP TO THE HIGHEST POINT ON THE ISLAND
A perfect route to do with your family, it is relatively easy, and the path is perfectly signposted. The whole route is spectacular, and you will ascend through nature up to the summit of Sa Talaia where you can contemplate 360º views of the whole island and beyond. The hike starts in the village of Sant Josep and takes us to Sa Talaia summit that is 475 metres above sea level.
2. SANTA EULARIA RIVER PATH
This is another perfect introduction to Ibiza hiking that is just only 3 kilometreslong, but that will surprise you at every step you take. The route runs along the only river that existed in the Balearics, in the municipality of Santa Eulària, and is deep in nature. The surrounding is exciting and invites you to unwind and focus on the present without having to do a strenuous physical activity. During the walk you will pass interesting sites including the church of Puig de Missa, the bridges Pont Vell and Pont Nou, the Interpretation Centre of Santa Eulària Can Planetes or the Ethnographic Museum of Ibiza.
3. FROM PORTINATX TO CALA XARRACA
One of the most breathtaking routes with over 10 kilometres length goes along the coast while you contemplate the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. You can also pass through quaint coves such as Es Xuclà or S’Illot des Renclí where you can stop for a swim in the sea. This route features some of the most amazing natural landscapes on the island.
4. FROM SAN ANTONIO TO CALA SALADA
This route is fit for hikers of all levels, given that you can make it as long or short as you want. You can start the hike in San Antonio port, walk along the promenade that features views to the isle of Sa Conillera, passing the famous sunset strip and eventually reaching Caló Des Moro. If you still feel strong follow the coast passing Punta Galera, Cala Salada, Sa Foradada, and Cap Nono.
5. CALA AUBARCA ROUTE
One of the best hiking routes in Ibiza goes toCala Aubarca, one of the most secluded coves on the island. Almost when you reach the bottom, suspended at 20 meters above the sea we find one of nature’s wonders: a stone bridge sculped by the sea and the wind, creating a truly spectacular image.
