In 2024, Trasmapi marks its 50th anniversary as a fully Balearic shipping enterprise within the IMG group. Established in 1974, Trasmapi embarked on the challenge of connecting the Pitiusas Islands. Initially operating with four daily connections, it now offers over thirty daily routes.

With a diverse range of timetables, Trasmapi prioritizes flexibility, allowing customers to choose according to their convenience. Its Fast-Ferry fleet ensures short journeys of approximately thirty minutes.
Notably, in 2023, Trasmapi set a record by transporting over 1.2 million passengers between Ibiza and Formentera.

Trasmapi boasts a fleet of five ships: Castavi Jet, Formentera Jet, Illetas Jet, Migjorn Jet, and Espalmador Jet, with capacities ranging from 250 to 450 passengers, including the option to transport vehicles.

Consistently maintaining its position as the leading passenger transport company between Ibiza and Formentera, Trasmapi has become a hallmark for both islands, focusing on ferry efficiency and service excellence.

In 2022, Formentera Lines joined the Insotel Marine Group, complementing Trasmapi’s services and further connecting the Mediterranean’s smallest islands.
Additionally, Menorca Lines commenced operations the same year, facilitating transport between Alcudia and Ciutadella, catering to passengers, vehicles, and cargo, thereby linking Mallorca and Menorca. Trasmapi also offers Formentera Cargo and Trasmapi Cargo, providing alternatives for maritime transport of road cargo in the Pitiusas islands.

Emphasizing environmental consciousness, Trasmapi, through Be Blue, IMG’s Corporate Social Responsibility project, undertakes initiatives to raise awareness and preserve the Mediterranean Sea.
