The calm waters of Portinatx make it an ideal place for swimming as well as for anchoring boats. In this tourist area, of great beauty, you can find all kinds of facilities for practising water sports, as well as a wide range of services and leisure areas. What was once a refuge for fishermen has today become an important but quiet urban centre, ideal for families. Portinatx is made up of a group of three coves: s’Arenal Gros, which is the main beach, S’Arenal Petit, which is smaller, and es Port, a small fishing port where, however, there are more and more recreational boats. A visit to the Portinatx defence tower or the lighthouse of the same name, the tallest on the island at almost 60 metres high, is recommended.
