Next to the large sandy beach of Port de Sant Miquel, a large tourist centre has grown up with some of the best hotels and restaurants on the island. The magnificent turquoise waters that bathe this spectacular coastal area of the municipality of Sant Joan are ideal for both swimming and practising one of the various water sports offered on the beach. Once in Port de Sant Miquel, it is recommended to enjoy the local cuisine with a ‘bullit or guisat de peix’ and visit the Can Marçà Cave, formed by telluric faults and more than 100,000 years old.
